Greg Miles Lewis

Greg Miles Lewis is a drummer, composer, and educator currently based in Los Angeles, CA. His compositional works range from avant-garde jazz to chamber, indie rock, pop, electronic, and experimental.

As a native to Reno, Nevada, Greg has been a large contributor to the Northern Nevada arts and music scene. He is a co-founder and performer in many unique ensembles including Rob Ford Explorer, a math rock duo consisting of Cameron Sax on guitar and Greg on drums.
Greg has performed or recorded with with artists and ensembles including the Marina Hov Armenian Folk Quartet, The Flamingos, Ralph Alessi’s Free Radicals, The Reno Chamber Orchestra, Reno Jazz Orchestra, Brian Landrus, Edwin Livingston, Karl McComas-Reichl, Zack Teran Group, Vinny Golia, and Adam Benjamin. He has performed at distinguished venues all over the world ranging from the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts and the Roy O. Disney Music Hall, to the Mathcore Index Festival, legendary Oakland punk venue 924 Gilman, and hundreds of DIY arts and music venues whose existence are of the upmost importance.

Greg earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2016. He is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at California Institute of the Arts where he is studying drum set with Joe LaBarbera, composition with David Roitstein, and tabla with Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri.
