Daniel Criado Cabrales is an accomplished Drummer who has performed internationally across the United States, South America, and Asia. He has also collaborated with notable musicians including Grammy Award-winning saxophonist and band leader David DeJesus, the Birdland Big Band, Brandon Lee, Grammy Award-winning pianist Manuel Valera, Pete Malinverni, the legendary drummer Leon Parker, and renowned bassists like Doug Weiss and Sean Smith, to name a few. He has acquired highly-sought after positions in prominent venues including Birdland Jazz Club, one of the most prominent jazz clubs in the world, as well as at The Side Door, Cleopatra’s Needle, Bonafide Club, Performing Arts Center at Purchase. Daniel has also been featured on distinguished recordings including “Carry On (Unplugged)” by Big Ska Band, featuring the Daytime Emmy Winning producer Joe Ferry and the 1989 Grammy Winner for Best Hard Rock Performance, Corey Glover.

Daniel has also participated in the White Plains Jazz Festival, Lady Got Chops Festival, Villa Jazz Festival, among others. Has also been invited as a panelist for the III International Percussion Festival UIS and been featured at the important radio station WBGO Jazz88 FM in New Jersey, Universo 94.9 radio Colima in Mexico and La UIS Estero 96.9 FM, La Cultural 100.7FM and La U Radio 107.7FM in Colombia.

Additionally, Mr. Criado Cabrales has received significant recognition from Westchester Hispano (Circulation: 28,124), Westmore News (Circulation: 23,376), and Vanguardia (Circulation: 13,311,171) as well as important websites such as AllAboutJazz.com, TheJazzCorner.com and InnovaXarts.com. He has also been awarded, through the Miho Sasaki Trio, the Silver Medal at the Asakusa Jazz Contest for Best Jazz Ensemble, a leading jazz contest held in Tokyo, Japan.

Right now Daniel leads his own band, “The Daniel Criado Project”, which mixes Colombian music with the roots of Jazz and a Folk duo with the singer Denisse Vera called “Dannies From The South”, which just released their single “I Have a Light” to more than 300 platforms including Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Apple Music.

Daniel is also a Bosphorus Cymbals Performing Artist.
