Carlos López studied at The Berklee College of Music (Boston, Massachusetts), Drummers Collective (New York City), Taller de Mùsics (Barcelona, Spain) and, ESMUC (Catalonia College of Music, Barcelona, Spain). He has also performed with a large number of artists including but not limited to, Gilberto Gil, Benny Green, Bob Mover, Raynald Colom, Bred Wiltmore and Abe Rábade. López also performs with 08001 which is a collective group of musicians from different parts of the world and it is based in El Raval which is the most ethnically diverse neighborhood of Barcelona. López also has aloso released two albums entitled CLQ and The Last Minute Experience. As a composer, López won first prize in a composition contest organized by the Spanish authors’ society in 2006.
