Keith Carlock

Mississippi native and long time Canopus accessories endorser, Keith Carlock, is one of the most in-demand drummers in music today. Besides balancing residences in New York City and Nashville, Tennessee, Carlock has amassed an impressive body of work by recording and/or touring with such musical luminaries as John Mayer, Sting, Steely Dan, James Taylor, TOTO, Christopher Cross, Donald Fagen, Walter Becker, Diana Ross, Faith Hill, The Blues Brothers Band, Mike Stern, Leni Stern, David Johansen and the Harry Smiths, Richard Bona, Chris Botti, Wayne Krantz, Rudder, Harry Belafonte, Oz Noy, Larry Carlton, Clay Aiken, Rascal Flatts, Paula Abdul, Grover Washington, Jr, and many more. In 2009 Carlock was voted the Number One Pop Drummer, Number One Fusion Drummer, and Number One Best All-Around drummer in Modern Drummer’s Readers Poll. Carlock is also an inductee in the Mississippi Musicians Hall Of Fame. Carlock has also put out an instructional DVD (Hudson Music) which is entitled Keith Carlock—The Big Picture: Phrasing, Improvisation, Style & Technique.
