Keith Evan Green

Keith Evan Green is a drummer and percussionist based in Ithaca, New York. He plays music of all styles, with a focus on small-group jazz. Green studied drums, vibes, and marimba with Glenn Weber at the New Jersey School of Percussion. He then studied at Northwestern University’s School of Music (Evanston, Illinois). In his early years as a percussionist, Green performed in the New Jersey All-State Band and in the orchestra of Fairleigh Dickinson University with which he performed at Carnegie Hall. At the same time, he played drums throughout the NYC-metro area with a band led by pianist Larry Ferrara, who later headed Music Performance at NYU. Green has performed widely and taught students, also, in Seattle and San Francisco. Green continues to perform across New York and neighboring states with his jazz group, Firefly Trio, with jazz vocalist Diana Leigh, and others.
