Jason Bowman

Jason Bowman was born in a midwestern miasma. After shuttling back and forth between the north and the south in his early years, never sure which accent to use, he found the language he liked best and spoke fluently: drums.
As a lad, Jason was a drum section leader, a teacher, a performer (even before he could legally get into the clubs where he played), and a general rascal. He headed east to New York City in the early nineties and was privileged to study with the legendary Joe Morello.
Over the years, Jason played in a myriad of bands and worked in several studios before finding himself in Woodstock NY. He is currently one of the owners of Rock Academy, a music school which strives to teach kids everything they need to know about rock music and how to play it well.
In 2022 Jason became the drummer for The Yagas, a psychedelic goth metal band fronted by the phenomenal Vera Farmiga.
