The heavy-weight, 5mm solid bronze shell re-invented.It is very difficult to produce sensitivity and warmth with a thick metal shell, but by applying appropriate edge shaping Canopus has produced this incredible snare drum. It has an amazingly wide range of sound frequencies – from low end to high end – giving a heavy, sharp sound and abundant overtones. By setting the depth to 4”, this allows for a smooth, balanced and sound.It has an overwhelming presence – normally unthinkable from a 4”. This snare drum is destined to become the next generation’s “main snare drum”.
