Till Richter is a professional drummer, playback engineer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Braunschweig, Germany, Till started playing the drums at age three and classical piano at age six. This integrated skillset has proven beneficial over Till’s professional career, allowing him to tour internationally with a diverse roster of artists, often covering multiple instruments and roles.
Till’s recent touring schedule highlights his versatility across drums, playback, and keys. His 2025 calendar included an arena world tour opening for Benson Boone with Elliot James Reay, where he ran playback and played key bass. He also embarked on a North American festival run, including Lollapalooza, as well as MTV Next and Jimmy Kimmel appearances with Måneskin front-man Damiano David (playback), and festival performances playing drums for David Kushner and running playback for LAUV. In 2024, he toured North America playing drums for pop singer Amelia Moore, which featured a performance at Camp Flog Gnaw. This followed extensive 2022 and 2023 tours playing drums for Clinton Kane, Caleb Hearn, and Rosie Darling. Earlier in 2019, Till covered drums, piano, and running tracks for Jaymes Young’s North America tour. He also consistently plays drums for Emmy-winner John Tesh and percussion with classical guitarist Almer Imamovic.
Before moving to Los Angeles, Till studied privately with drumming legends Benny Greb, Jost Nickel, and Stephan Emig. He went on to earn his degree at the renown Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), studying under masters Ralph Humphrey and Joe Porcaro, and is now a proud member of the faculty.
As a founding member of the Grammy Amplifier Contest winning band Bonavox, Till’s early career in LA included performances at SXSW, The NAMM Show, and opening on a West Coast tour for Allen Stone in 2015. Till also performed with Steve Porcaro (Toto), Denny Dias (Steely Dan), David Garfield (Smokey Robinson), and many more throughout his time in LA.
