Pedro Ito is a Brazilian drummer and percussionist whose work integrates drum set vocabulary with hand percussion, extended techniques, and rhythmic concepts drawn from Brazilian traditions and contemporary jazz. A former member of Arnaldo Antunes’ band, he later graduated from Berklee College of Music and developed an international career across the jazz and world-music scenes. He has performed with Esperanza Spalding, George Garzone, Didier Lockwood, Céu, Ney Matogrosso, Jamelão, Carlos Malta, Benjamim Taubkin, Ná Ozzetti, and Luiz Tatit, appearing at major international festivals. Based in São Paulo, he performs with projects including the Ricardo Herz Trio and Orquestra Mundana Refugi, co-leads the Trio Improvisado, and remains active as a producer and educator.
