Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Drummer Kevin Congleton was surrounded by music from a young age. Coming from a family of Musicians, including professionals of a wide variety of styles, it was natural for him to pursue a career in Music. After High School, he attended the prestigious University of North Texas Jazz Program on scholarship. There he rose through the ranks to land the drum chair in the top band, the famed “One O’clock Lab Band”. Currently based in Brooklyn, NY, he has made a name for himself touring and recording with such artists as Danny Jonokuchi, Adrian Cunningham, Charles Turner, Lucky Chops, Leo P, Gordon Webster, Ambulance LTD, Joe Manis, and many others. Congleton has toured with various artists all over the world, including the UK, Europe, China, South Korea, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. No stranger to Film and Television, he was in the House Band on an MTV talk show and performed the soundtrack to French Film “Swing Rendez-vous” among other ventures. While in NYC he has performed at many prestigious venues such as The Blue Note, Terminal 5, Brooklyn Bowl, The 55 Bar, The Knitting Factory, The Highline Ballroom, Joe’s Pub, BB Kings, Mezzrow and Birdland. Known for his musicality, versatility and selflessness on stage, he is an in-demand Drummer around NYC and beyond.
