Born April 14, 1945, New York City. Raised in the city, exposed to jazz at a young age. Started studying the drums at age 13, started playing professionally at age 16. Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theory, CCNY, 1968. Recording and performing credits with some of the most influential jazz artists including Bill Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Jim Hall, Stan Getz, Lee Konitz and many others. Currently in demand leader and sideman internationally.
