Chris Eddleton originally from Roselle, N.J. is a full-time musician living in Maplewood, N.J. He has performed with various Brazilian artists such as Cidinho Texixeira, Cyro Baptista, Tony Mola, Vanessa Fallabella, Juliana Aquino, Romero Lumbambo, Nilson Matta, and Claudio Roditi. He has also shared the stage with Cassandra Wilson at the Cape May Jazz Festival , Kevin Bacon and The Bacon Brothers, and N’Dea Davenport (Brand New Heavies) and Dave Valentine. Chris has has performed with hip-hop artists such as Pharoahe Monch and Jean Grae at the Cape Town Jazz Festival. Also, Chris has toured the U.S. and abroad with Verve recording artist Lizz Wright and performed with her at various music festivals such as; The JVC Jazz Festival in NYC, New Orleans Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival, Telluride Jazz Festival. He has performed as an understudy in David Byrne’s American Utopia on Broadway and also several off-Broadway productions such as; “The Black Nativity” , “The Supreme Bishop Tartuff”, the Paris (France) premier of Melvin Van Peeples’s “Sweetback’s Badassss Song”, and also Rain Pryor’s ( daughter of Richard Pryor) “Fried Chicken and Lattkes”. Chris has also toured Europe and the U.S. with a Brooklyn based band called Red Baraat.
