NYC based drummer Andreas Brade has been professionally working for over 30 years. Over those three decades he has performed in many different musical settings, and genres such as Jazz, African and Afro-Caribbean music styles, Latin music, electronica, singer/songwriters, Artmusic and percussion ensembles. Andreas performed, toured or recorded with artist such as Lorrain Claasen, Balla Tounkara, Rubblebucket, Tiga Jean Baptiste, ConRytmo, Bakithi Kumalo, Zamir Chorale, Mavis Pan, Mystic Bowie, The Jazz Composer Alliance, Atlas Soul and many more. Andreas performed in venues and festival such as the Montreal Jazz Fest, the Kennedy Center, Boston Symphnoy Hall, the Blue Note/NYC, Apollo Cafe, NJPAC, The 92nd Street Y, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the British Museum at Yale and many International Festivals. These days Andreas pursues next to his busy Freelance schedule, two creative projects Emergency Group and the Mizell, Sanwald, Brade Trio.
Andreas has been working also for over 25 years in the field of modern dance as accompanist, performer and composer with prestigious companies/schools such as Martha Graham School, the Juilliard School, Mark Morris Dance Center, Paul Taylor, Boston Ballet and Cornfield Dance.
Next to being a graduate from Berklee College of Music, Andreas holds a Masters of Music in Modern American Music/Performance from Long School of Music of Bard College and is endorsed by Zildjian cymbals and Vic Firth drumsticks.
