Canopus die-cast hoops produce a clearly defined tone . They respond to every stroke with full-bodied projection . We have focused on hoop shape and thickness, and used the unique properties of zinc material in order to provide a natural “crack” sound.

The striking colors of the orange fade laquer maple snare drum are the perfect reflection of the multiplicity of sound that this drum offers. Tuned low, the 8mm shell resonates with a warm, fat backbeat. Tune it high and the shell explodes with a crack with the help of the die cast hoops. In any range of tuning, the precision of the vintage snares results in a very sensitive response regardless of the volume being played. The brass lugs combined with the chrome rims adds to the depth of the beauty of the drum. Like any drum should, it looks as gorgeous as it sounds.
