The band Snarky Puppy that our endorser Keita Ogawa is a member of as a percussionist won Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for their latest album “Culcha Vulcha” at the 59th GRAMMYs.
Debuting in 2004, Snarky Puppy has won many awards like Dallas Observer Music Awards three times in a row from 2008 to 2010, Best of 2012 Albums for “ground UP” on iTunes and Grammy Award -Best R&B Performance- for “Something” in 2014 and Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for “Sylva” in 2016.
Culcha Vulcha is their 11th album recorded purely in a studio for the first time in eight years, released on April 29, 2016.
