Canopus accessories artist and U.K. monster drummer/producer Dave Mattacks has a lengthy history as a recording and performing artist. Early in his career Mattacks made his mark by touring with folk-rock group Fairport Convention. In 2000, Mattacks relocated to the United States and he settled in Boston, Massachusetts, where he continues to resides today.
Mattacks’ body of work is an impressive one and it includes touring and recording with many iconic artists including Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Elton John, Jimmy Page, Peter Green, Rosanne Cash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Richard Thompson, XTC, Jethro Tull, Joan Armatrading, Brian Eno, Nick Drake, Loudon Wainwright, Ralph McTell, Cat Stevens, Susan Tedeschi, Tom Paxton, Colin Blunstone, Andy Fairweather-Low, Chris Rea, The McGarrigle Sisters, Sandy Denny, Beverly Craven, Greg Lake, Justin Hayward and Gary Brooker, to name a few.
In addition to constantly touring and recording, Mattacks has also taught master classes at The Berklee College of Music and London’s Royal College of Music.
