Bob Holz and A Vision Forward is a progressive/fusion band featuring drummer/composer Bob Holz, bassist Ralphe Armstrong and guitarist Chet Catallo. Holz’s new album titled “Visions and Friends” features Larry Coryell, Randy Brecker, Ralphe Armstrong, Alex Machacek and Billy Steinway. The record was released February 10th, 2017 on MVD Audio.
Drummer /composer Bob Holz is a former member of the Larry Coryell Trio. Holz began his career in Boston attending Berklee College of Music and went on to study with Billy Cobham. Holz has shared the stage with numerous noted artists such as Larry Coryell, Robben Ford, Les McCann, David Fat Head Newman, Cornell Dupree, Maria Muldaur and Dr. John among others. Holz’s prior release on MVD Audio titled “A Vision Forward” features Larry Coryell, Mike Stern, Randy Brecker, Billy Steinway, Ada Rovatti and Steve Weingart. Bob’s musical approach to drumming and composition provide the perfect foundation for the musical explorations of A Vision Forward.
