Bill Tesar, born 1952. Bill has been playing the drums professionally since the age of 16. Born into a family of musicians, he played piano at age 5 and continued until switching to the drums at age 14. He has studied with many notable drummers, including: Sonny Igoe, Ed Soph, Jim Chapin, Freddy Waits and was a protege of the great Joe Morello. Bill was one of the youngest recipients of a grant for Jazz Performance from the National Endowment of the Arts.

Over the years, Bill has performed in many settings with Concert bands, Big bands, Percussion Ensembles, Experimental Chamber Groups, Jazz and Pop groups.

He currently resides in the New York metro area and has a very active performing and teaching schedule.
