Very comfortable with reasonably firm urethane.
The joint part is an iron plate that has high durability.
By adopting aluminium long leg and steel rod, we managed to keep the durability with lighter weight.

I’ve been using the Canopus Hybrid hardware regularly for the past few weeks and I must say they really represent a breakthrough in drummer accessories.
To begin with, Canopus’ use of aluminum for the legs is unique, makes the stands even more attractive -and- above all, cuts a considerable amount of weight from similar”heavy duty” snare, cymbal and hi hat stands.
These are “rock solid” and can really take a pounding without moving at all. The cymbal boom arm is a welcome add as opposed to other, similar, stands which make the transition from straight to boom somewhat cumbersome.
Finally, as for the hi hat, in a word …”smooth” and also solid.
These stands were easy to move around, set up and play.

I’ve been using the hybrid throne for years and it’s fantastic. It’s light, strong, simple, and effective. It’s been loaded in and out forhundreds of sessions and never lets me down.
