It comes standard with a baseball bat-type, 3-position inner muffler for enhanced playability and a variety of personalized sounds.

This thing is a monster. Classic, 3mm cast brass tones thanks to Canopus’ perfect bearing edges and low-mass lugs and hardware. This thing can be everything from huge and phat sounding to very focused and defined in its crack. Truly an amazing snare drum, and I consider myself fortunate to own one! Turns heads and scares guitar players everywhere I take it!
Black Nickel Brass II:
This one is my main workhorse. I have used this one as my number one road snare since I got it! It’s Canopus’ take on a classic, legendary drum, but with the quality of Canopus Drums! The drum is so full, vibrant, and can go from phat to crack while retaining all of the warmth you’d expect from a Black Nickel over Brass Shell. The internal muffler is also a nice touch, and I use frequently! This one gets comments from engineers and band members alike, praising its tonality.
Both of these drums are fine examples of the detail and quality that Canopus is known for! I’m very proud to own both, and they pair very nicely with my Birch series kit!
I love my Canopus drums! They’ve taken care of me very well since I obtained them, and I legitimately cannot say enough great things about them. Wonderful, high quality instruments that last a lifetime.
