I’ve used other high end custom style snares on a variety of drums and applications but I’ve found the Vintage Series by Canopus to be considerably more capable and effective. They are nuanced, full, and purposeful in tone. I find them to be instinctive, expressive, and dynamic, which is what the art is all about for me. Masterfully conceived and executed. For the purist.
