CANOPUS drums are designed and engineered to eliminate unnecessary overtones, and to recognize our goal of creating a variety of equalized, musically pleasing sounds.
We are aware that many drummersseek drums whit an original character, a lively sound, and a dark, fundamental core tone. To comply with these dreams we have developed our drums using Bubinga material.
Bubinga wood characteristically creates a dark tone with solid core sound. It is much harder and heavier than Maple or Birch and beacause of these it has been associated with a high, metalic overtone wich some drummers find difficult to deal with. However, by coordinating the number of piles and using our unique edge shaping, CANOPUS has created a pleasant sound with incredible definition.
R&D Line
R&D Line is the name of the group of series wich have been commercialized in the course of research all-rounders, they are excellent drum that posses out standin individualities. They are manufactured in the limited quantities by custom orders, also it is the special line that we respond to the customers orders as nearly as possible.
